This selection of artworks by Susan Dorothea White is inspired by the human form and a knowledge of its underlying structure – some are anatomized icons, others are of wet specimens and plastinated bodies, and some are from her book Draw Like Da Vinci (2006).
In the workshops, you will have access to real human specimens and skeletons that you can study and draw.
You will learn to apply perspective and proportion to the human body while discovering how to draw muscles, bones, and fascia. Beginners are taken through step-by-step procedures. Many different drawing techniques, including those shown here as well as novel ones such as silverpoint, are discussed. Advanced drawers are encouraged to do their own thing; artists are left alone!
